Lisha Barnes currently serves as the Academic Development Manager for Milady. She is responsible for developing and delivering academic and business programs for the Cosmetology Industry. She is a licensed cosmetologist, instructor, and barber and is committed to improving the quality of cosmetology education. She received a Bachelors of Science in Communications from Eastern New Mexico University.

Lisha completed her cosmetology training at Olympian University of Cosmetology, where she also served as Administrator for two campuses for over ten years. She is a former Director of Education for a chain of Cosmetology schools.

Barnes is a former NACCAS Commissioner, a member of Cosmetology Educators of America and has worked on numerous writing projects for Milady.

She teaches educational seminars for The Career Institute, where her experiences in education, communications and administration add insight to her presentations.

Patti Wanamaker currently serves as an Academic Trainer for Milady. She is responsible for delivering academic and business programs for the Cosmetology Industry. Her intimate understanding of the salon/school/beauty industry comes from 17 years of hands-on experience, includes 8 years of salon/spa ownership, co-owner and co-manager of three salon locations with an annual sales of $5 million. She has 6 years experience as a multi-faceted, training specialist within the industry, specializing in customer relations, increasing the bottom line and creating client loyalty. Her experience in all three areas of our industry creates a well-rounded background as a trainer.

Steve's experience as a business trainer spans over a decade. With a background in marketing and promotions, Steve is personally responsible for assisting thousands of salon and spa professionals with accelerating growth through business trainings, specifically targeting increased sales and profits. A favorite industry trainer, Steve is known for an upbeat, detail driven, and informative educational format, which enables salon and spa professionals to employ results-oriented internal growth and development strategies.

As a stylist and coach for Victoria's 5th Avenue Salon she helped increase the salons sales from $95,000 in 2005 to $500,000 in 2008 and 2009. Working with professionals in the beauty industry who have a desire to further educate themselves is one of Amy's passions. She enjoys working hand in hand with salon owners, managers and stylists. Educating on the value of strong communication skills, having a professional attitude and being positive has helped her master how to work smarter and not harder. Now she wants to dedicate herself to helping all salon and spa professionals maximize their success while creating a fun and energetic salon environment. As a second-generation Hair Stylist, Educator, and Coach, Amy is wanting to take the next generation of salon owners and stylists to the next level.

Brigette's career in the beauty industry started as a stylist in 1993. She has always understood the value and importance of education and mentoring in her life and holds numerous advanced education certificates as a stylist, business owner and trainer. In 2004 Brigette opened Salon Soca in Chicago and started advanced business coaching with Milady. Since integrating proven systems into her business and her team the salon has experienced an average growth of 30% a year and in 2009 Salon Soca was recognized as one of the fastest growing salons in North America and was recognized as a Top 200 Salon by Salon Today magazine. Brigette's personal journey and her experience in the industry combined with her strong command of business knowledge allow her to bring genuine passion and commitment to everything she is engaged in. This allows Brigette to form an authentic bond with her clients and make her an ideal salon business trainer.

Meg King is the owner of Meg & Company Salon located in Narberth, PA. With over 30 years of experience in the beauty industry mentoring, training and educating, along with 20 years as an owner of a body care salon, Meg King understands the challenges and the successes of running a business.

Taking on the Milady coaching and consulting for her salon not only resulted in achieving a higher level of service and success for her business, but ignited her passion and desire for helping her fellow professionals reach their dreams, goals and aspirations.

As a Trainer, Licensed Cosmetologist and Nail Technician, Meg is committed to her clients and their success.

Russel Thompson has been working in the salon industry for 26 years wearing many hats as salon owner, stylist and master colorist. He pursues his passion as an educator in both the technical and business realms of the beauty industry teaching owners, managers and stylists how to make more money working smarter not harder. A self described lifelong learner with a certificate in life coaching he has recently joined the ranks as National Trainer for Milady, educating the salon and spa industry on best practices for a more profitable salon. Russel exemplifies all that he has learned thru Milady's consulting programs by practicing what he teaches. As the owner of Carmichael Salon in San Francisco, he continues to take his business to the next level by researching and implementing innovative business models and sets the example we all strive for - running a profitable business while producing a 6 figure income behind the chair.

Daniel has honed his skills and has been a featured educator for a number of product companies. He is a member of the Milady Training Team and the National Show and Education Team for IT&LY hair fashion and participated with Team NAHA, participating in shows and conducting seminars where he has developed a reputation for his highly original and ground-breaking coloring techniques.

Passionately dedicated to the theory that energy creates energy, Daniel rarely slows down. In addition to raising a family and operating a successful salon and day spa, he travels the globe for business and pleasure and continues to contribute to industry publications and appear all over North America.
